About Us
Investing in our History
OurTownStrong was created in 2018, but our foundation has been there for a lifetime. We grew up in Litchfield, living in the heart of town with our family in the 1970s and 1980s. As children we loved walking downtown to check out the latest toys in the basement of Hardware Hank, browse the Ben Franklin for treasures or peer through the windows at Stewart's Jewelry. We looked forward to eating at the fancy restaurant in the old hotel, getting treats at Forsberg's Bakery and watching the latest movies at the Hollywood Theater.
Downtown Litchfield was a lively scene and walking those blocks filled our young lives with a strong sense of place. Visits to the G.A.R. Hall and town celebrations rendered context and we were proud to be part of Litchfield's story.
Our family eventually moved away, but we always maintained local ties. In 2017, a visit to Litchfield ignited a spark when we were charmed anew by the stories and possibilities inherent in downtown and the idea behind OurTownStrong was born. With the help of a life-long local friend and a talented real estate broker, we found a beautiful historic building ready for some love and investment, making OurTownStrong a reality.

Strengthening our Future
OurTownStrong LLC is a family partnership formed in 2018 to purchase a beautiful historic structure in downtown Litchfield, MN.
We are planning carefully for meaningful improvements to build on Litchfield's rich history and create a present that will enliven stories told by future generations.
Goals & Values
Our overarching goal is to add to the vitality of the downtown area. We may also participate in other activities or business ventures that strengthen the surrounding community and foster local pride in the historic downtown. Our values are strongly community-focused and we endeavor to let courage and kindness guide our actions.
